Acceptable Use Policy

• Anything unlawful where you are, where we are, or where the image will be published.
• Sexual content involving minors, in any form and for any stated reason. We report this to the appropriate authorities and terminate the account without notice.
• Content that incites violence, or that harasses, threatens or degrades a person or a group on the basis of who they are.
• Photographs, logos, trade marks, fonts or copy you do not hold the rights to use.
• Content that impersonates a person or an organisation, or that is designed to pass as an official communication from one.
• Deceptive material: fake news cards, fabricated quotes attributed to real people, invented endorsements, or share images that misrepresent what the linked page contains.
• Personal data about someone else that you have no lawful basis to publish. Remember that every rendered image is served from a public URL.
• Phishing pages, malware distribution, or any card whose job is to get someone to click through to either.

• Do not use the renderer as a proxy to reach hosts you could not reach yourself. Remote images are fetched through a guard that blocks private and link-local ranges; probing it, or trying to defeat it with redirects, is a breach of this policy.
• Do not attempt to break out of the template sandbox, to execute code on our servers, or to read data belonging to another account.
• Do not circumvent rate limits or quotas, whether by rotating accounts, by distributing requests across addresses, or by any other means.
• Do not create multiple free accounts for one person or organisation to exceed the free allowance.
• Do not resell the rendering service as a competing image API without a written agreement with us.
• Do not submit volumes designed to degrade the service for other customers, or to test what it takes to do so.
• Do not scrape or bulk download images belonging to other accounts, even though their URLs are public.

Everything the product is for. Marketing and product cards, blog and documentation covers, changelog and release images, event and job listings, personal projects, client work, and automated generation at the volume your plan allows. Commercial use is permitted, there is no attribution requirement, and the images you make are yours.

To report content that breaches this policy, email [email protected] with the image URL and a short description. For copyright complaints, email [email protected] with enough detail to identify the work and your authority to act for its owner. For a security vulnerability, email [email protected] rather than filing it publicly.

Where we can, we start proportionately: we contact you, and we remove or disable the specific image. Where the breach is serious, where it is repeated, or where leaving it up would expose us or others to real risk, we suspend or terminate the account immediately and without notice. We may preserve and disclose records where the law requires it or where doing so is necessary to protect someone.
